Free To Watch - Why Are Men Avoiding Committed Relationships?

Marriage rates in the USA have plummeted since 2017. (see image) Another statistic has emerged, that 35% of males under the age of 30 are either virgins or have not had sex in the last year. To my generation that is unbelievable.

Analysts are only just waking up to these anomalies and the reasons are not yet completely clear. I have some personal experience in dealing with young men and discussing their dating behaviour. Or should I say, their resistance to dating. I can offer a good snapshot into this dilemma.

I call it the Andrew Tait affect, but it is not just him. He started a trend of young men scrutinizing what worthwhile relationships means for men today. The young women are operating with a toxic sense of entitlement that beggars belief. Unlike the mothers and grandmothers of these young woman, many of the young eligible women today have attitudes towards males that are simply scary. What is even worse, they are recording their attitudes on social media and young men are sharing these videos among themselves. 

I will attach video examples of what the young men are watching. Be aware that some of the male commentary offered in the videos is reactionary and toxic. But I believe the examples of the young women being portrayed on camera is enough to put any young man off dating and coupling.  

If you extrapolate this topic out 10 or 20 years, you will see a very real reason to feel alarmed at this result. I am not totally sure how this social construct fits within feminism and it may well prove to be a joint cause for feminists and counter-feminists alike.
