Hi my name is Lester and I first encountered the disadvantage of being a male in the 1980's. My struggle to maintain access to my 3 sons (4-7 year olds) took years to resolve through the courts. During that time I became the leader of a group of fathers who were struggling under the new family-based laws that were difficult to understand. There were around 80 men who would meet to discuss the struggles. 

Little did I know that the issues hurting men would only grow and manifest in other areas of life. This website is focused on equipping the people who argue for men to have better knowledge and better resources at their disposal. 

Originally men supported feminism, as it was seen as a fair idea that had come of age. It is unfortunate that the damage to men over the last 40-50 years has clearly been done by feminists and feminist influence. I know many people that embrace the early ideals of feminism who also do not recognise 3rd and 4th wave feminism as appropriate extensions of those early gains. That is why I have created a new term "Counter-feminism". we are not anti-feminist, we are counter-feminist about new wave feminist extremes.
